How it works
- Join at $5/month. Your member status starts immediately and you will begin receiving an automatic 10% discount in our online store within 24 hours.
- Each year you’re active, you accrue a $20 renewal credit toward your CT Guard Card renewal.
- At 5 years active, you’ve banked the full $100 and we pay your Guard Card renewal (up to $100).
If you renew sooner, we’ll apply whatever credit you’ve earned (e.g., 3 years = $60 toward renewal).
FAQ
Does the $5 include my renewal?
Yes — as you stay active, you build $20/year credit. At 5 years we cover the full $100 renewal; earlier renewals get prorated credit.
How do gear discounts work?
Members get exclusive promo codes & private links for select partner merchandise.
Can I cancel?
Anytime. Your accrued renewal credit stays on file for 18 months if you need to come back.
What if you go out of business?
If we go out of business, you will receive your accrued renewal credit as a payment. We reserve the right to alter, modify or cancel any part of our membership benefits but will do so only after notifying you 30 days prior to modification.

Say you sign up on January 1, 2025 and also receive your CT Guard Card on that day as well. On January 1, 2030, your CT Guard Card will be set to expire. On this date, after remaining a member for the full 5 years, bring your renewal paperwork to our office. We will notarize it and provide a passport photo if needed. We will then provide you with an option to either have us mail it in (with our payment) to the state for you, or we will provide payment directly to you for you to mail in on your own (either way, your choice).
