We decided to put this data on our website to convey the fact that security work can be dangerous. You must be aware of your surroundings at all times, know how to react in given situations, have a plan in place, and be properly trained and equipped. This is in no way suggesting the individuals described on this page fell short of any of that; rather, it is merely a reminder to all security professionals that keeping all of that in mind will help reduce the potential for a bad situation becoming worse. No amount of training or equipment will guarantee your safety, but it can give you the best fighting chance at survival. Complacency kills. Bad people will always do bad things to good people. It is up to you to understand and accept that this is the industry; we are exposed to danger every shift, every hour, every minute, every second.
