This State-mandated 8-hour CT guard card course is required by the State of Connecticut to become a licensed security officer. It covers the essential topics and skills needed for effective security work, including legal requirements, security practices, and emergency response. Upon completion, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge to work as a licensed security officer in Connecticut.

Payment is required upon registering. There are no refunds once payment is made. We will happily reschedule your class for a time that is more convenient for you, and you may transfer your class seat to another student.
All students will be offered the opportunity to test their skills at report writing and more through our supplemental learning modules on our LMS platform! Laptops will be provided for this purpose during class.

This course meets all requirements by the State of Connecticut to obtain your CT Guard Card. It is strongly recommended to review our FREE Learning Management System (LMS) class series “Intro to Security” prior to attending class. This is not mandatory but will help you grasp security concepts taught in class, especially if you are new to the security industry. This does NOT shorten the length of time you will be in class for – it is merely for your own personal benefit.
You will also learn about the negative aspects of the security industry, the biggest complaints security officers have, and ultimately decide if this is the right industry for you.

Note that we do NOT provide fingerprinting services due to the high risk of rejection by the State of Connecticut. The State of Connecticut charges $15 for fingerprinting services, we strongly recommend you take advantage of those services. We will walk you through exactly how to do this!
